Lebih dari tujuh tahun sebagai Rotaractor di salah satu Rotaract tertua di Indonesia ialah sesuatu yang sangat luar biasa. Hampir engga nyangka sebenernya bisa ngelewatin angka 7 sebagai rotaractor ditengah teman-teman seperjuangan awal sudah hampir raib semua. Alhamdulillah semua fase sudah terlewati dengan baik mulai dari yang gak tahu apa-apa alias hijau banget, sampai sekarang yang sudah kematengan dipohon. Hehe.
Mulai fase dimana canggung bertemu temen-temen baru *maklumlah pada dasar orangnya pemalu* pertama kali dateng meeting, menjadi bagian dari chartered member, ikut project, jadi project officer, ikutan fellowship, event nasional & internasional dan lain sebagainya.
Saya juga pernah merasakan jadi rotaractor dikala mahasiswa akhir, mencari pekerjaan, sudah dapet kerjaan, dan sambil usaha. Pasti temen-temen pernah merasakan ini. Pernah gak punya duit buat ongkos dateng ke acara salah satu rotaract club atau seakan-akan gak punya waktu buat dateng ke acara rotaract. Iya kan?
Tak kalah pentingnya juga pengalaman organisasinya juga alhamdulillah hampir nyicipin semuanya mulai dari Incoming member, Member, Director of Service Club, Member, Vice President, Acting as President, President, Assistant District Rotaract Representative, sampai dipercaya jadi District Rotaract Representative for Indonesia 3410. Nah ini, lucu banget. Sebenernya baru menjabat tahun berikutnya tapi apa boleh buat takdir berkata lain. Mungkin akan saya bahas nanti.
Belum lagi setelah berhasil re-chartered club gak lama kemudian mau collapse/mati again, Huaaahh!!! Asli banyak banget deh pengalamannya! Speechless dan priceless.
Sampai detik ini tidak pernah menyesal telah menjadi bagian keluarga besar Rotary & Rotaract. Justru yang disesalkan kenapa baru tahu pada saat magang di Bali dan disaat menjadi mahasiswa akhir yang udah mau lulus. Yaaaah, memang kita tidak bisa memutar waktu dan itu sudah menjadi kehendak Illahi.
Menjadi rotaractor ialah sebuah keberuntungan dan kebanggaan tersendiri. Project demi project telah dilalui begitu pula jabatan demi jabatan. Berkenalan dengan teman-teman yang satu visi, misi, dan mau terjun langsung mengambil langkah untuk perubahan menjadi kenangan manis yang sulit dilupakan & sebagai harta yang sangat berharga, ucapan terima kasih & senyum tulus dari orang yang kita bantu menjadi upah tersendiri bagi kita.
So, kemanakah kaki ini melangkah?
Mengenal & bersamamu cukup 7 tahun, tapi melupakanmu butuh waktu seumur hidupku.
Kepada temen-temen Rotaractors, Selamat bertugas dan menjalankan amanah sebaik-baiknya.

More than 7 years as Rotaractors in the oldest Rotaract club in Indonesia is unbelievable. Honestly, I didn't expect that I could pass the number of seven as Rotaractors while my rotaractors’s friends almost disappeared. Alhamdulillah I could pass it very well from nothing (green) until I know a lot.
The first phase begin with met new friends. Actually I am shy person. Met stranger and chit chat with them wasn't my style. Maybe in Indonesia we could say 'shy shy cat' it means 'malu-malu kucing'. Be a part chartered member, join a project, joint project with others club, as project officer, do fellowship, join a national Rotaract event, International Rotaract Event and etc.
I also felt how it feels as Rotaractor when I was college student, office worker and did small business. I dare one of you have experienced these : didn't have enough money to attend an event/project, or maybe you didn't have a time to do some Rotaract program. Am I right?
Beside that It's my pleasure and grateful for a lot of experience that I took. From Incoming member, Member, Director of service club, Vice President, Acting as President, President, Assistant District Rotaract Representative, District Rotaract Representative for Indonesia 3410. I have a fun fact story behind my DRR journey, maybe I will tell you later.
After club re-chartered not so long my home club would collapse/terminate. But Alhamdulillah that moment already passed. That moment was speechless and priceless.
Until now, I never regret becoming a part of big family Rotary and Rotaract. One thing that I regret is late for knowing Rotaract. I knew Rotaract when I was an intern in BTB and one of local travel agency. Time is never come back and has become fate.
Being Rotaractor is a fortune and pride. Project-by-project has traversed so are the positions for the position. Acquainted with friends of the vision, mission, and want to take action its a sweet memories and a treasure, thanks and sincere smiles of the people we help become its own reward for us.
So, what NEXT?
Seven years to know and live as Rotaractor but to forget as Rotaractor need my whole life.
